TRANSCENDENCE OF ARCHIVES FOR URBAN LIFE AND CITY RESEARCH: AN AUTOETHNOGRAPHY EXERCISE
Keywords:
City, Archives, EthnographyAbstract
The objective of this article is to show an autoethnography work based on an experience as an inhabitant, official and researcher in growth and urban regulation. In these three moments, which are described and form the contents of the writing, the consultation of archives has been a fundamental element both to generate an identity as an urbanite as well as to rescue an immediate or historical memory of the settlements. Through the complementary work of consultation to archives and ethnographic record of one's life, it is concluded that these techniques can be part of a very powerful scientific methodology to know the logic of cities in Mexico.
